About qbrobotics

qbrobotics is an Italian Company founded in 2011 as a spin-off of the University of Pisa and the Italian Institute of Technology and active in the production of innovative robotic devices implementing the soft-robotics technology. Robotic hands, handles, grippers for delta robots and variable stiffness actuators are the main products reproducing the natural principles of motion control, the same principle behind the muscular system of animals, in order to create robots that are smooth and safe when interacting with humans. qbrobotics is based in the Technological Complex of Pisa where in a 400m2 structure, the original founders together with a group of 25 collaborators implement all stages of production starting from research and concluding with the realization of hardware, passing through laboratory testing and software programming. In order to provide top quality products, qbrobotics internalized all the production process and created its own durability and performance testing laboratory, the qblab, following the highest standards requested from the European certifications. qbrobotics has now three Business Units: - Industrial Robotics: here we produce collaborative and soft end-effectors (hands and grippers) for collaborative robots; - Service Robotics: in this sector we are suppliers of robotic hands for Humanoids and we provide modular Actuators VSA for robot building. - Biomedical and Prosthetic - in this Unit we produce upper-limbs prosthetics including robotic hands. Since its inception qbrobotics has grown to successfully consolidate its position in the market with a steady growth and worldwide partnership expansion in the EU, US, Japan, Korea, China, ASEAN, and South America.
