L.H.Quartermaine & Co was the precursor to Quartermaine Travel, established in 1954 and with the advent of mass air travel, Quartermaine Travel was established shortly after by Murray Quartermaine who built the company into a significant enterprise during the 1960’s & 70’s. Lance Quartermaine, followed the family path as the third generation in travel, establishing Quartermaine Travel in the UK in the early 1980’s after a successful career at Travelbag PLC.
