About Queenscourt Hospice
Queenscourt Hospice is a local charity providing specialist palliative care to adults from Southport, Formby and West Lancashire. Imagine hearing the heart-breaking diagnosis that your husband, wife, father or sister has an incurable and devastating condition. At a time when it can feel like nothing may be the same again Queenscourt Hospice is here to help. We recognise that people diagnosed with terminal and life-limiting conditions not only experience physical symptoms, but also have social, emotional and spiritual needs as well. At Queenscourt we offer care and support not just to the patient but the whole family. Through our specialised activities, clinical appointments, in-patient care, community nursing teams, our art and music therapy, our one to one counselling and drop-in sessions, we offer a holistic approach to a patient and their family’s needs. We’re doing all we can to help our patients live life to the full. But we can’t do this without the support of people like you. We rely upon donations of time and money from our local community to help us provide a lifeline for families when they need it most. Our mission is to help people affected by life-limiting illnesses such as cancer, heart failure and motor neurone disease. We strive to help our patients enjoy the best possible quality of life and give their families and loved ones the support they need. We provide specialised FREE care services for around 650 adults each year at the hospice, in the community and at home.
