The company Queijos Santiago was founded in 1918 in Castelo Branco, having 100 years in the history of the Portuguese cheese production. Nowadays, Queijos Santiago has more than 100 products in the market and it is proud to be the unquestionable market leader in the fresh cheese line as well as a reference in the cured cheese line, specifically with regional products. With four factories throughout Portugal and its headquarters in Malveira, Queijos Santiago is responsible for the picking, production, packing and distribution of all its products, what allows it to guarantee the maximum quality of the cheese that gets to the Portuguese table. A tradition allied to the quality that starts in the rigorous selection of our raw materials that come from a wide range of regional milk producers that are supported by Queijos Santiago through specialized technicians. This quality has already been certified; the branch offices of the group were the first dairy product companies national wide to be certified accordingly to the NP EN ISO 9001:2008 norms in 2003 and 2008 and to the NP EN ISO 22000:2005 norms to management systems of food security. In terms of flavour, the knowledge of Queijos Santiago’s tradition is present in all its variety of products.
