Quiet Life Co is a full-suite music consulting and business development agency committed to unlocking our artists' potential and fostering vibrant music communities. Our mission is to create time for artists to be creative. We manage a boutique roster of artists and producers across a broad sonic spectrum, but our work extends beyond our roster underpinned by a philosophy of 'collective development'. Our facilities in Woodstock, Cape Town, host a world-class recording studio and writing room, providing a space for bold creativity. We provide A&R services to labels, managers and artists interested in working with talent in Cape Town and South Africa, helping them navigate the local industry and providing administrative support across legal and accounting. Through this work we hope to play our part in building sustainable infrastructure that supports talent development in Africa - we understand that we can't do it alone. We are actively involved in supporting various community initiatives, with a primary focus on rejuvenating the music community in the post-pandemic era. Our commitment to this cause is evident through our involvement in Quiet Live, a platform for live musical experiences. At Quiet Live, we host a diverse range of events, including a quarterly theatre performance at the Homecoming Centre, ad-hoc shows, sound baths, indigenous sonic healing workshops, and support for local independent shows through our reduced rate sound equipment hiring model. Additionally, our commitment extends to Quiet Academy, through which we aim to educate and empower aspiring musicians. We host a series of music industry panel discussions and masterclasses, helping aspiring artists and managers access essential insights and tools to navigate the complexities of the music industry. In line with this, we are excited to announce that we are in the process of developing an "Introduction to Music Management" course, which we plan to launch by the end of 2024.
