About Quillsoft
Located in Toronto, ON, Quillsoft is an industry leader when it comes to assistive technology. We were founded by Dr. Fraser Shein in 2000 in partnership with Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. Quillsoft began as a start-up from a group of university and hospital research labs and the Ontario Rehabilitation Technology Consortium with a shared goal of bringing effective rehabilitation through technology into the hands of those that need it. Since our inception, we have come to realize that our software can can help everyone from kids to post-secondary students and people on the job to retirees. Quillsoft’s sole focus is reading and writing literacy software tools that; make it easier to communicate effectively with others, aid in understanding written language, and level the playing field for people of all ages, around the world. Concepts like self-esteem, confidence, and belonging are hard to picture, but they’re integral to our health and happiness. They can’t be seen or touched, but we at Quillsoft firmly believe that they are some of the real benefits and lasting rewards that can be realized by being able to communicate and express yourself effectively through writing. Quillsoft’s software suite is comprised of WordQ, SpeakQ, ThoughtQ, and ReaderQ, and each of these programs is designed to teach and lead users on the path to better self-expression.
