About Quilt of Belonging

Quilt of Belonging is a 120 foot (36 m.) long collaborative textile art project, a rich portrait of the human family. Its 263 blocks portray the cultural legacies of the First Peoples in Canada and every nation of the world. Since it was launched in 2005 at the Canadian Museum of Civilization,1.4 million visitors have seen the Quilt. This massive artwork is still on tour and is creating an impact everywhere it is shown. Its education programs are used by educators around the world. Our mission is to celebrate our common humanity and promote harmony and compassion among people.
