About Quince Productions

Quince Productions, a 501(c)(3) theater company in Philadelphia, is dedicated to bringing you a mix of theater, dance, cabaret, and performance art, as we have since our founding. We believe in the following principles as our mission: 1) To educate, enlighten, and entertain the public with an eclectic collection of shows they might not otherwise see. 2) To work as colleagues and not competitors with Philadelphia’s many theater companies. 3) To always trust the sophistication and adventurousness of Philadelphia audiences and serve the community by bringing them the kind of work that displays this trust. 4) To create spaces both physical and emotional in which actors, directors, and other theater workers can do their best work, and in which the public can be educated, enlightened, and entertained. 5) To break down barriers of prejudice and isolation through presentation of theater works that challenge stereotypes, provoke thought, and encourage understanding, helping people to look at others in a new light and making their connections more important than their differences. 6) To reach out to diverse communities and bring theater to those who might not otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy it, as well as satisfying those who are already steady theatergoers.
