About Quinn Broadcasting
From corporate America to small business owner, Jim Quinn as always followed his OWN STAR! Jim Quinn Associates operated as a third-party broker of RADIO airtime with several local stations. WVLT in Vineland was the first station where he produced sporting events, and also covered news and civic occasions. First, it was radio, but in 1978, Jim had a brilliant idea. “Why not do the same airtime arrangement with cable television? Problem was: “What will people want to watch which is of local interest and is entertaining?” Suddenly, Jim was producing and hosting a show on local television which was WAY AHEAD of the curve. “Auction Time” was a big hit in 1981. On the national scene, QVC in West Chester, PA would not begin broadcasting until 1986. First, “Radio on TV” was the company’s logo. Broadcasting cable talk show format and simulcasting on WMVB gave advertisers multiple forums and provided local residents with entertainment and information. Television camera equipment was of better quality, and portable. Rather than produce automobile commercials from a studio with pictures of cars and trucks, QBC began producing video on location, where the “movie stars” were SUV’s and the people who owned the dealerships were famous for their television appearances throughout South Jersey. Now, the 21st Century is quickly approaching two decades of technological innovations. The Digital World is where we all live, and QBC is multimedia! We are producing television talk shows; after airing on Ch. 190 and Ch. 19 the broadcasts will be accessible online for viewing at your convenience. QBC is also producing radio programs on WVLT FM 94, WMVB FM 96. Keep up with key local luminaries in the news, as well as sports and business on our FACEBOOK page, and YouTube Channel.
