Welcome! As an Occupational Therapist, my aim here is to help people network and to promote the work of my company, "Quit Falling". While working in a rehab, I found a large gap in education. So, I condensed the most important aspects of fall-prevention into a class that can be given in a group or individually. This class can be provided online, or in-person – at local independent-living facilities, assisted-living facilities, gyms, community centers, etc. We are currently in the Portland Metro area, but may be willing to travel when there is enough interest. In most cases I’ve worked with, falls could have been prevented. We have more control than we think! Our classes will teach you methods on how to prepare for the aging process by decreasing your risk, so that you can preserve your body. After giving this class, I usually get the response, "Why didn't anyone teach me this before?" Looking at the statistics, 1 in 3 Americans over 65 fall every year! This is because “we as a society” are aging incorrectly, and I am here to teach a better way. Our Mission is to empower the aging population with knowledge and tools on how to modify their routine, in order to preserve their bodies, decrease their risk of a fall, and ultimately prolong their life.
