“When women thrive, communities thrive.”–RAW In 2012, an idealistic collaboration between Mariam Issa from Somalia and Ina Kons from Germany birthed RAW (Resilient Aspiring Women) Garden in Brighton, Melbourne, Australia. Our grassroots, community-based organisation has since blossomed through the partnership of many dedicated volunteers and their belief in the power of connection, women, and diversity. The nurturing of aspirations, holding healing circles, story-telling, cross-cultural conversations, educational programs, volunteering, gardening, crafting, and cooking have formed a vibrant space to learn from each other and grow in.
