Grants of up to £10,000 are available, and RB Electrical can help you with the process to get EV charging stations at your workplace. What is the OLEV Workplace charging scheme? The Office For Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) is a relatively new government department set up to oversee the transformation of the UK vehicle market from the high carbon emitting petrol and diesel cars to electric vehicles. With transport accounting for approximately 25% of all UK carbon emissions this transformation is an integral part in the government’s commitment to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. The Workplace Charging scheme provides eligible applicants with support towards the upfront costs of the purchase and installation of EV charge points. The contribution is limited to the 75% of purchase and installation costs, up to a maximum of £500 for each socket, up to a maximum of 20 across all sites for each applicant.
