>PROFESSIONAL LAND SURVEYOR LICENSED IN LOUISIANA AND MISSISSIPPI< I am a 3rd generation Licensed Professional Land Surveyor beginning with my paternal grandfather, J.J. Krebs, Sr., who began his career as an engineer for the City of New Orleans Street Department, in 1921. J.J. Krebs, Sr. eventually founded J.J. Krebs, Civil Engineer and Surveyor, in 1935. During World War II, he was chief engineer/land surveyor and supervising professional for the U.S. Army during the construction of Fort Polk. My grandfather held professional land surveyor license number 18 for the State of Louisiana, being one of the first wave of civil engineers to be licensed in land surveying. After WWII, my father, John M. Krebs, joined my grandfather to form J.J. Krebs and Sons. In the late 1960's the firm grew to over 125 employees which consisted of a survey division, an inspection division, civil and structural engineering departments, and a highway design division. I joined J.J. Krebs & Sons, Inc. in 1968 to begin my surveying career, learning all aspects of the industry beginning at the bottom and working my way up. After the sudden passing of my father I went into business for myself in 1979. My father instilled in me a genuine appreciation and natural interest in land surveying. I still enjoy surveying today as much as I did when I started 45 years ago. My primary personal and professional goal is to deliver the best possible product to each client at a fair cost. My company strives to surpass our client's expectations and maintain its business relationships into the future.
