About R3i Foundation (Residual Risk Reduction)
The Residual Risk Reduction initiative (R3i) is a worldwide, academic, multidisciplinary, non-profit, Swiss-law foundation established by international academic and clinical experts in recognition of the significant residual risk of macro-vascular events and micro-vascular complications, including risk from established risk factors (such as unhealthy lifestyles, dyslipidemia, high blood pressure, high blood sugar and obesity) as well as emerging risk factors, that persists in patients despite treatment with current, evidence-based medical care. The R3i Foundation was formed to engage healthcare professionals in an innovative, global initiative focused on supporting academic research, professional and patient education and public health advocacy with the goal of significantly improving and extending the lives of millions of patients at risk for vascular events.
