About Racing Engineering
In the year 2000, Racing Engineering, based in Sanlúcar de Barrameda (near the Jerez F1 track), became the first Spanish team to participate in the legendary Le Mans 24 Hours. Since then, the Andalusian team has raced at the highest levels of motorsport, both at the national, as well as the international level. With participations and achievements in categories as diverse as the Spanish GT Championship and Spanish Formula 3, where Racing Engineering obtained the championship title for six consecutive years. Or, the World Series single seater championship, where the title was achieved in 2002, and the vice-championship in 2003, the team has not stopped growing, evolving and continuing to thrive for success and new objectives. Exceptional dedication and a pure passion for motorsports form the ethos that drives Racing Engineering in its pursuit of competitive brilliance and the base for its success. In eight years, the team has won 11 titles. A record for every motorsport team within such a short period of time. During the past 7 years Racing Engineering participates in the GP2, the category regarded as the stepping-stone to Formula 1. During these seven years in GP2, Racing Engineering obtained numerous victories. In 2008 Racing Engineering claimed the GP2 championship title with its Italian driver, Giorgio Pantano. In 2012 French driver Nathanaël Berthon and the Swiss Fabio Leimer complete the Spanish Team's line up.
