About Raconteurs Audio

Raconteurs evolved from a conversation in 2018 between a group of British audiobook veterans in a Manhattan café during APAC – the Audio Publishers’ Association Conference. Why, we wondered, out of the thousands of books published each year, are so few are made into audiobooks? Could we make audiobooks ourselves, as well as just narrating them for other people? Could we work directly with authors to bring their work to a listening audience? Many authors, particularly independent and self-publishing authors, have little idea how audiobooks are created and published. We developed a streamlined and straightforward production process that considers every authors' wishes and expectations. Clear and regular communication between our production team, our narrators and the authors and publishers we work with, and our forensic attention to detail ensures that our audiobooks speak for themselves - as demonstrated by our two Earphones Awards, and our Audie 2024 nomination. We take care of every aspect of an audiobook’s creation, planning, scheduling, casting, recording, proofing, editing and mastering. We can also take care of distribution if requested. We also work as production partners with publishers and production houses delivering either raw or production ready audio as required.
