The company was born from the desire to create a formula to help Remy, Chloe's son, who has an impressively rare genetic disorder that causes global delays and catastrophic epilepsy. Chloe know that the current one-size-fits all approach to hemp was not the most effective way to work this powerful plant. Through meticulous research she has found a way to potentiate the hemp using Chinese herbs and thus, Radical Roots was born. Our hemp is sourced from Pachamama farm in Longmont Colorado. This farm prides itself on growing hemp free of pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizer. They use a rotating crop of eight cover plants and flowers to control pests, enhance the mineral content of the soil, and balance the mycelium and microbial colonies. Our Chinese herbs are sourced from Spring Wind Herbs, who are world renowned for having the cleanest herbs available. Lastly, our extraction process is done through spagyric extraction. This ancient alchemical extraction technique uses grape ethanol to extract the essence of the hemp and herbs. Then the hemp and herbs are burned at high temperatures for 6-8 hours. From the ashes, water is used to reconstitute the mineral and salt component of the plant and add them back to the tincture. This exact process increases important cofactors, increases the plants healing ability and is the epitome of Whole Plant Medicine for your whole health.
