RadioCamp, LLC was established in 1990 to create digitally produced audio content for web, radio and telecommunications. One of it's current projects is UnderCurrents Radio. UnderCurrents was originally conceived as a program service to help Native radio stations extend and enhance their offerings to local communities by providing a turnkey, Content Depot-ready daily music service that appeals to Native listeners. Popular with Native stations from the beginning, UnderCurrents has also proven to be attractive to Triple-A stations that like the program’s rich eclectic format, “American Music with a Passport.” RadioCamp, LLC is a Native- owned and operated studio in Walnut Creek, CA, creating the service in essentially the same manner as it was conceived in 2005, making steady, incremental improvements and continually meeting or exceeding all of the stated programming objectives. The host and executive producer is Gregg McVicar (Tlingit), a radio veteran of 38 years who is assisted by a talented and energetic team of part-time staff and contractors. UnderCurrents is one of the primary offerings of NV1 with 35 hours of weekly programming on the Content Depot and accounting for 42% of the NV1.org streaming schedule.
