About Rainforest Art Project
The Rainforest Art Project is a team of professional artists and educators, committed to bringing unique hands-on experiences to kids who need it the most. For over 20 years we’ve been working with thousands of students around California and beyond, providing unique art programs and hands-on activities that deeply affect how children think, behave, and interact with their peers and community. With our “Makers” Program we equip school teachers, community leads, volunteers and children with the skills, resources and technology to create stunning works of public art. From logos, wayfinding signs and sculptures for school campuses, up to developing community areas, such as libraries, parks and beautifying entire downtowns. For students, such involvement in improving their schools and neighborhoods can be life-changing. Along with the great pride of accomplishment, they learn that their ideas are valued, and that they can play an important role in the future of their community. To support consistent creative growth and skill-building process, the Rainforest Art Project is proud to offer teachers and students reliable, cross-curricular and easy-to-follow art programs. We have eliminated every major barrier teachers may have when cultivating the culture of arts in their classroom by providing all the supplies, vivid workbooks, video-based instructions and educational content. Our goal is to reduce teachers’ stresses and empower them to gain more confidence and creative independence, having as much development and joy while teaching art, as their students get while learning. Over the years, schools using the Rainforest Art programs report unanimous teacher and student approval.
