About Rainforest Flow

Rainforest Flow is committed to helping indigenous communities remain vibrant and independent by working with them to build and maintain their own sustainable clean water and sanitation systems. Combined with health education, technical/vocational training, and monitoring, we can guarantee participation, and thus the sustainability of these water, sanitation and health (WASH) projects. This greatly contributes to the health of these communities, enabling them to flourish, and protect themselves from outside economic interests and cultural erosion. Since 2003, Rainforest Flow Founder and Executive Director, Nancy Santullo, has raised over 3.5 million dollars to successfully implement four WASH projects, serving 1200 villagers in the Manu Biosphere Reserve and National Park in southeastern Peru. Manu Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is considered one of the world’s most important protected tropical areas. Rainforest Flow video: Rainforest Flow implements efficient, low-maintenance water and sanitation systems while facilitating the development of hygiene and maintenance practices to produce sustainable long-term change. Each family participates in the building of the water and sanitation infrastructure, and their home sink. We work at the local, regional, and national levels to ensure project sustainability while building partnerships with community organizations, local municipalities, health, and social service agencies, and ministries to ensure lasting benefits. Rainforest Flow is a 501(c)(3) public charity registered in the United States.
