About RAISE UP Foundation NZ
RAISE UP Foundation empowers survivors of domestic violence to have better life outcomes through scholarships, mentoring, and support into their first job. Scholarship recipients are chosen each year to have their university fees and given $1000 towards their course related costs. They are partnered with a mentor who supports them through their educational journey. Our mentors are people who have already completed higher education at a Bachelor level. They work alongside their assigned scholarship recipient to support them through their educational journey. Mentors are upskilled in various skills including coaching and mentoring, so that our scholarship recipients are given the best chance possible. Once scholarship recipients have completed their studies, they are given support into their first job. Scholarship recipients will get support to create their CV and write cover letters. They will also have support to prepare for job interviews.
