About Ramus

Ramus is a non profit organization that provides a platform for people with and without disabilities to get together and actively harness their free time. Ramus is focused on young people with nearly any physical, mental or combined disability. Ramus is an open community and every new member is a welcome pulse. Our strong advantage (at least as we hope) is a kind of "amateurism", with which we work intentionally and consciously. No member of Ramus has went through any sort of formal training, the theories of special pedagogy or physiotherapy are foreign to most of us - and the terms of "assistant" and "client"? We are trying hard to avoid them at all. It is precisely those two words that represent the imaginary border that we are trying to overcome. Thus an atmosphere is born, in which we learn to respect one another, in which the failings, successes or health states of the individuals are the least important things to worry about. An atmosphere in which we feel comfortable and glad to return to. Ramus does function on an entirely voluntary basis. Noone in the organization is being paid salary.
