About Rancho Compasión
Rancho Compasión’s mission is to provide a loving, lifelong home for rescued farm animals, and to change global public perception about animals typically viewed as “food”. Our Sanctuary promotes a compassionate and sustainable lifestyle for animals, our planet and our health, while providing education for humans that include programs on sustainability, health, wellness and adoption of vegan eating. Founded in 2015 in the beautiful hills of west Marin, California by Miyoko Schinner starting with the adoption of two goats, this became a community effort, blossoming into a non-profit 501c3 sanctuary that provides a safe haven and forever home for over 100 animals today.
