About Random Acts of Flowers
Random Acts of Flowers improves the emotional health and well-being of individuals in health care facilities by delivering recycled flowers, encouragement, and personal moments of kindness. Medical research has shown that a positive attitude quickens healing time and reduces the amount of pain, anxiety and fatigue associated with illness, and Random Acts of Flowers’ goal is to improve each patient’s mental health through our deliveries. RAF delivers flowers to individuals determined by caregivers to be in the most need at community healthcare organizations. Our target recipients are those who have been in a facility for an extended period of time, have not had visitors, don’t have a support structure, or just needing a little cheer. Random Acts of Flowers has the honor of fulfilling our mission with every delivery. Since 2008, RAF has made more than 180,000 deliveries and recycled more than 210,000 vases - all through the dedication and hard work of our volunteers who have given more than 90,000 hours to the RAF mission.
