In 1983, Cheriton Investments was established, creating a solid force in the investment world. The company acquired A-Z Specialists Consulting in 2009, and in 2010, a strategic decision was taken to create Raneen for Consulting and Marketing (Raneen Holdings) as the investment vehicle for all assets and investments in the GCC, Levant and North Africa regions, based in Jordan and Egypt. While Raneen Holdings soon acquired Direct Technology, Cheriton acquired ProfiNet’s firefighting and prevention operations in early 2011. Raneen Holdings soon acquired Al-Jamaani Veterinary Pharmacy, creating Alhayat Animal Medical Supplies to add to its ownership base. In 2011 Raneen added an Office Supplies Division as well as its Marketing and Advertising Division. In 2011 Raneen signed exclusive contracts with Quadra Medical and Depilar Hair Removal Systems, as well as sealing Menchie’s exclusive master franchisor rights for Jordan, Egypt, the UAE and Kuwait. Raneen Holdings is now one of the most prominent regional investment entities, growing and expanding in a broad range of sectors, such as Beauty & Spa, Food & Hospitality, Office Supplies, Engineering, Security and Safety Consulting Services, IT Services, Business Development, and Healthcare. Raneen’s geographic diversity and presence is rapidly expanding throughout Middle East and North African (MENA) region.
