About Re-Focus

Since 1972, Re-Focus, Inc., a non-profit human service agency, has enabled persons with developmental disabilities to pursue productive and healthy lives throughout Rhode Island. We began as St. Charles Residence in Providence, one of the first group homes in the state, serving 18 residents. We were established to provide parents of developmentally disabled adult children with an alternative to institutionalization. Re-Focus has expanded from a single residence to a stellar provider of multiple services for more than 300 developmentally disabled adults and their families over the years.
