About Ready, SET, Go Gym
Ready, SET, Go is an exercise centre for the physically and neurologically impaired. It is based on Sensorimotor Exercise Therapy (SET) which is a specialised form of therapy developed by researcher and innovator Ava Wilson. Studies show that physical activity significantly improves cognitive ability and overall health and wellness in the neurologically and physically impaired. SET incorporates physically activity alongside verbal prompts to enhance the highest form of cognition during exercise. We hypothesise that such therapy should improve speech, motor function, memory, and sensory stimulation. Ready, SET, Go is not just an activity centre. It is a way for mainstream and additional needs individuals to socialise and learn from one another.
