About Real World Therapy

Real World Therapy is a private practice centred around relational therapeutic work. It is not “pop psychology”, every challenging element of the human condition does not need a label or a diagnosis, many things in life are challenging and our ability to cope and work through these challenges is what impacts our mental health. ‘Mental health’ does not mean that we should always be mentally ‘healthy’, it’s not possible! The reality is; life can be hard, family relationships can be strained, strict expectations can be burdensome, friendships may be hard, romantic partnerships are complex, people die, trauma can happen to us at any point, the Earth is getting hotter, social media has taken over, homophobia, racism, sexism, classism etc - all exist, and so on and so on. This is the Real World. It can be hard, and if you or someone you know is struggling then therapy can be of great benefit. Mission: To Provide individual therapy with acknowledgment of both internal and external challenges that exist as a result of living and being in the world.
