About REAM Ortho
REAM (Research Education And Mentorship) in Orthopedics is a national interest group for students interested in the field of Orthopedic Surgery. Medical students applying to competitive specialties can be at a disadvantage in regards to research opportunities. As such, the goal of this organization is to provide a platform for medical students and orthopedic surgery residents to advise and mentor younger students and teach them to perform research independently, using it as a way to network and set themselves up for success during the match process. In addition, we plan to provide mentorship for medical students to achieve success in their path to becoming orthopedic surgeons.
