ReCap Materials Management is a Squamish-based consultancy with a mission to reduce waste in the construction industry. We work with multifamily and commercial clients throughout all project phases: waste management planning & objectives, facilitating the reuse and recycling of materials generated during deconstruction & demolition, on-site education & implementation of WMP’s, and reporting for bylaw requirements & green building certifications. Each project is unique; our team utilizes a collaborative and adaptive approach to achieve waste reduction goals. ReCap’s full-scope involvement streamlines the building process for clients and adds value to their triple bottom line: People - We educate your workforce through toolbox meetings, site management, and active engagement. Materials donated to local nonprofits and the funds generated benefit those in the community who need it most. Planet - In BC, 23% of municipal solid waste sent to landfill is generated from construction and demolition. Salvaging and recycling valuable materials alleviates this burden and reduces CO₂ equivalent emissions. Detailed reporting allows this data to be used both internally and externally for future improvements. Profit - Landfill tipping fees are reduced through salvage and improved recycling. Tax receipts are provided for materials donated to charity. Clients gain improved marketability with a demonstrated focus on sustainability.
