About Recognize Violence, Change Culture

At Recognize Violence, Change Culture (RVCC), we work to transform sexual violence prevention into something people feel, remember, and carry with them. We blend creativity, storytelling and joy to move young people, both emotionally and behaviorally. Our strategies are designed to help organizations spark engagement, connect to people’s values, and build skills in their communities. Think of us as your extra support team, here to share strategies and energy to amplify your efforts and make your prevention work easier. We combine best practices from multiple disciplines, including psychology, social work, behavioral science, and critical race, gender, and sexuality studies, to offer a comprehensive and inclusive approach to prevention. We foreground intersectional and equity frameworks, centralizing the experiences of marginalized communities. We partner with campuses and community organizations to strengthen their sexual violence prevention efforts by providing program development and capacity-building services, educational and skill-building workshops, and custom artwork, all designed to build a more consent-centered culture.
