About Recovered Energy Laverton
Recovered Energy Laverton is delivering one of Australia’s most advanced waste-to-energy projects, a large-scale, fully approved gasification facility in Melbourne’s western growth corridor. Our Laverton North plant will process residual municipal and commercial waste into renewable electricity and reusable by-products, reducing Victoria’s reliance on landfill and contributing to the state’s circular economy and emissions reduction targets. Using internationally proven modular gasification technology, the facility will process up to 240,000 tonnes of waste per year, with the capability to expand in stages as demand grows. It will initially generate enough renewable electricity to power up to 40,000 Victorian homes while recovering aggregates from inert slag and significantly reducing net CO₂ emissions. Centrally located where the waste is generated, we provide a local solution to a local challenge, minimising transport impacts, supporting local jobs, and delivering secure, long-term outcomes for councils and industry. We are proud to be at the forefront of Victoria’s transition to clean, reliable energy from waste. Contact us at info@recoveredenergy.com.au
