Recovery Acres Calgary Society (RACS) is a fully accredited addiction treatment facility in Calgary, Alberta. Offering inpatient & outpatient programs to individuals 18+ who meet the requirements to access RACS programs. Clients learn new tools for coping with addiction through an intensive recovery-oriented curriculum. Total immersion in RACS culture of recovery is a powerful experience and has changed the lives of countless clients. RACS Alumni cultivate a culture of resilience within and outside of the recovery community becoming pillars of society. An ever growing population of alumni represents our organization, the tentacles of recovery exponentially reaching more people each year, reducing the stigma of addiction. With over 1700 alumni returning to our facility to accept a plaque for achieving one year of sobriety and over a 100 alumni returning to accept a 25 year plaque of continuous sobriety. Countless more may not have returned to accept these accolades but remain in their respective communities building recovery for themselves and others. RACS has evolved since our inception, because of the generosity our stakeholders and supporters to fulfill our mission. The community truly make a difference every day by helping us advance our work by supporting the well-being of our clients. Whether donating goods and services, recruiting new donors, raising awareness about the importance of the work we do, volunteering at our special events, helping fundraise or being involved on one of our alumni committees, our volunteers have played a major role in our success over the last 50 years.
