Located in Port Coquitlam, BC, Red Dog Deli is the manufacturer of Red Dog Blue Kat – a high quality raw food for dogs and cats. The company was founded in July 2004 by a small group of friends, drawn together by a mutual love and concern for their pets and included Inna Shekhtman, Louise Bryce, Linda Edwards, Kevin Plimbley, Orene Webster, and Kris Morrow (the latter three moved on to pursue other endeavors after the first year). It began operations in a small 600 sq. ft. warehouse on Mitchell Island, BC. The first few years were challenging, as we struggled to find the right suppliers, formulas, and packaging. By focusing on quality products, quality manufacturing practices and excellent customer service, we continued to grow and expand, establishing ourselves as a leader in the raw pet food industry. Today, Red Dog Blue Kat raw pet food is produced in a state of the art food manufacturing facility that rivals many of the food producers creating products for human consumption. We currently have 20-25 employees and Red Dog Blue Kat pet food can be found in quality pet stores and through holistically minded veterinarians in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec. Raw pet food is growing in popularity as a result of the increased focus on providing our four-legged friends with healthy, balanced diets. Red Dog Blue Kat raw pet food is made with free-range, non-medicated meat and organic vegetables. The nutritional makeup of Red Dog Blue Kat is similar to what animals would have eaten in the wild hundreds of years ago. In fact, it has only been in the last hundred years that humans have fed pets processed foods.
