About Red Owl Academy

Red Owl Academy was created to bring a fresh and modern approach to early childhood education in a structured, loving environment with a strong emphasis on the importance of organizational skills in the first few years of a child’s life. We believe if these skills are acquired from an early age, the child will be equipped with the most important tools needed to build a successful life. Developmentally appropriate sensory, motor, perceptual and language skills are introduced through materials and hands-on learning activities. Our curriculum is built on incorporated themes, integrated units, projects, group work, individual work, and learning activities in order to make children active learners. Through our STEAM program activities, our students are taught independent innovation and explore greater depths of all of the subjects. Critical and analytical thinking along with the ability to work as a member of a team or independently are strongly encouraged at Red Owl Academy. We also introduce the French language via the QTALK method, an active learning style based on Active Cognition and endorsed by the NYU department of neurology. Red Owl Academy moved to a larger school located in Palisades NY after successfully operating for 4 years in Sparkill, NY.
