Red Spot Biosciences was formed based on new discoveries in autoimmune. The fundamental discovery revolves around many of the immunological diseases with unmet medical needs and are actually a result of the presence of an undescribed condition that gives rise to devastating pathologies that are now considered autoimmune diseases. Some of these identified to date are Crohn’s disease, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, Type 1 diabetes and Celiac Disease. The discovery will constitute a major shift in the current thought that surrounds the etiology of autoimmune diseases from a condition that is thought to result from a hosts propensity to attack it’s own tissues to one of the host actually attempting to control the condition. The discovery is counter current to present medical thinking and teaching and as such is controversial. The fundamental origin of the infection has now been identified but not published because of proprietary protection. Over 17 years of research have led us to where we are today. To-date the effort has centered on volunteers with no further medical options for management of their disease. The effort has been pursued with “sweat equity”, that is no compensation or recognition has been involved to date. The group has identified numerous patients that have now been treated, with a drop in the concentration of the pathogen and an improvement in the pathology of the disease centered primarily but not exclusively around Crohn’s Disease.
