About Redemption House
Redemption House provides Christ-centered safe and sober housing for young adults who have a desire to live amongst others that look to Jesus Christ for guidance and direction. We believe that a person’s self-esteem is strongly influenced by his immediate surroundings and that sober living homes play an important role in early sobriety. They provide a safe environment and offer fellowship and accountability to those who are new to recovery. We believe that becoming clean and sober is just the beginning and recovery is a journey that requires a level of involvement but there is more to it. True recovery can only be achieved with the love of Jesus. Whether one is new to recovery, or has a history of sobriety, there is a continuing need for support and encouragement. Our homes operate on teachings drawn from all disciplines pertaining to living in accord with the Christian Bible. We believe in Biblical counseling and that God’s Word is sufficient for all conditions pertaining to man’s mind, will, emotions, soul, and spirit. Here, addicted men and women find what they have been searching for all their lives. The emptiness felt deep within, can only be filled by the One that created us. The forgeries this world offers, such as drugs and alcohol, bring only moments of pleasure, closely followed by pain and misery. Only a new life built on Jesus Christ will guarantee an optimistic, peaceful and productive future. The Homes operate very similar to most sober living homes. We are a structured environment requiring that all of the participants: •Have a sincere willingness to remain clean and sober. •Are clean and sober from drugs and alcohol and we do periodic drug testing. •Attend Church, Bible-based discussion meetings and our speaker meetings. •Stay violent-free; respect the staff, the property and each other. •We are an absolutely free program. •We also provide food to those in the home.
