Rees Pryer Architects was formed in January 2004 following the merger of two established Bury St Edmunds based Practices, Rees Associates and Pryer Associates. The Practice has a wealth of experience operating throughout East Anglia and beyond. As an award winning RIBA Chartered Practice it is our aim to provide a comprehensive and efficient service at every stage of each commission. From initial concepts to realisation of the finished product, we strive to enhance the built environment through sustainable architecture. We are based in Bury St Edmunds but work nationally. We don't hide behind the premise of a "specialism" and the limitations that brings to the individual. It is for this reason that we have built our practice around a multi-sector structure and actively promote this belief within our team. We enjoy the challenges, continued growth and learning a varied portfolio gives us. It also has a very pragmatic benefit of teaching us alternative approaches to problems. That's why we've been delighted to be involved in a wide range of projects from residential and social housing to large and small commercial projects. In the education sector, we've worked on both new build and alteration schemes at establishments ranging from nurseries to upper schools. As well as education, we have worked very successfully in the leisure sector, with such projects ranging from public houses and visitor attractions to the unusual challenges of accommodation for giraffes, rhino and zebra at a zoo!
