The buy-out secures the future of the company on the retirement of the present owner, Adrian Jones. After 40 years with the company, Adrian will be staying on for 12 months to ensure a smooth transition. Key among James’ and Gary’s future plans is the maintenance of the high standard for which the company is known and the retention of their leading public sector clients such as Somerset and Avon Police, the NHS, Ministry of Defence, local Health Authorities, schools and local County Councils. The company is a member of the NICEIC, ECA, JIB and Constructionline, and designs, installs, tests and maintains a wide range of electrical systems for commercial and industrial businesses, and is fully compliant with all the latest regulations. They take pride in providing a professional and reliable service. From complete project design and installation, consulting and project management for commercial, industrial and public sector projects to lighting design and installation including emergency lighting and fire alarm system installations. REF Electrics now offer design, installation, testing and certification of structured cabling and fibre optic installations that provide the infrastructure for today’s IT systems, we have also introduced audio visual packages to be installed by our experienced engineers. Their workforce is JIB qualified and the company have a programme of continuous staff training and development to ensure that personnel remain aware of changing technical developments. Due to their level of expertise the company is qualified to carry out portable appliance testing. They also test and inspect a range of installations to ensure they comply with the current regulations.
