About Refined Robotics
Refined Robotics is a DeepTech spinout from Osaka University and ATR (国際電気通信基礎技術研究所), developing last-mile delivery robots capable of carrying up to 30 kg over stairs directly to the doorstep. Our patent-pending Variable Gravity Compensation Mechanism (VGCM) technology makes us up to 25x more energy efficient than similar legged robots, enabling 2-3x faster deliveries at comparable yearly costs. We’re in early company formation, actively raising capital to build our MVP and secure early user trials, in Japan and globally. Our go-to-market strategy combines hardware and software sales for last-mile logistics operators, with plans to expand into Physical AI and broader robotics markets once we deploy ~5000 robots (1% of Japan’s last-mile market).
