About Regenerative Collaborative South Africa

Who we are: Many professionals are actively seeking change as part of the drive towards a regenerative and net zero built environment. The task of the Regenerative Collaborative SA is to promote strategies and approaches that operationalise regenerative design and construction. We work collectively to educate, create awareness, and contextualise regenerative built environment approaches in South Africa. What we do: Since October 2020, our CPD accredited monthly webinars have inspired and educated a broad range of built environment professionals on regenerative built environment practices. The webinars are a unique platform to showcase South African expertise and case studies throughout the year. The content is engaging, discussions are interactive and practitioners from across the country find it valuable to connect with each other through this virtual platform. Our speakers have included industry leaders presenting topics that are pertinent to regenerative development such as: Energy Performance Certificates Materials Embodied Carbon Mass Timber Construction Greening existing homes Design process for regenerative buildings New Buildings: SANS 10400 XA & Net Zero Regenerative Eco Lodges in South Africa Alternative Building Materials None of our success would be possible without a group of dedicated professionals!
