About Reggio Academy

Our mission at Reggio Academy is to provide children with the tools they need to develop a lifelong love of learning and education in a nurturing and safe place, their home away from home. These tools include interesting environments to explore, exceptional learning materials, appropriate social emotional guidance and support and opportunities to interact with the community. We believe that when children are appropriately supported in their early years, they grow to be compassionate, well rounded, intelligent adults and citizens. Our vision is to ignite a lifelong love of creative learning, problem solving and collaboration in every child entrusted into our care and for our organization to be a profound resource to the community. Our core values serve as a solid foundation to inform every aspect of our program. We believe that the families and children enrolled in our programs will share the maintenance of these values with us and uphold them in our school community. -Protect each child’s unique childhood experience as it is an important state of the human life cycle. -Our school is “research based, evidence driven” and our work here is grounded in the latest research in child development. -We celebrate parents as their child’s first teacher and seek to strengthen the child and parent bond. -We celebrate each child’s unique family structure and culture and understand that each child can be better understood within those contexts. -We respect and celebrate the dignity, worth and uniqueness of each child, family member and colleague. -We celebrate and respect diversity, equity, and inclusion. -We build bonds and relationships of trust with each child, family member and colleague, fully recognizing that each individual needs the community to develop to their fullest potential.
