About Regional Early Education and Development Inc (REED)
Regional Early Education and Development Inc. (REED) is a one of a kind in Western Australia! There is no other organisation offering early childhood care, development and education like us. REED is staffed, managed and run by people who live and work in Western Australian rural communities or who have strong links to rural Western Australian communities. We love seeing rural communities thrive. Regional Early Education and Development Inc. (REED) started in 2018 with only four child care services in the Wheatbelt of Western Australia. We now have over 27 child care services across the Wheatbelt, Midwest, Great Southern, and South West of Western Australia under the REED umbrella, with more services to come on board in 2026. REED has achieved exponential growth and success over a short period of time because all of our staff and our voluntary Board live our values of: quality, partnership, respect and inclusion, innovation and curiosity, and integrity. REED’s success in rural communities was recognised when we were named a Not for Profit/Charity of the Year finalist in the 2022 RISE Business Awards. Our staff enjoy the best of both worlds. Local child care services retain their unique character and are encouraged to run their own innovative programs, but at the same time staff are able to access support and resources through REED cluster managers and through the Regional Early Education and Development Inc. (REED) state wide network. We are an open, collaborative and feedback-driven organisation, and we even host a two day Educator Conference each year for all REED staff that includes a range of professional development workshops as well as paid accommodation, food/meals and mileage. We are a non-profit organisation and a registered charity and we provide quality early childhood care, development and education in over 27 rural Western Australian communities.
