About Regional Screen Scotland
At Regional Screen Scotland we believe that cinema has the power to change lives. We manage and operate the Screen Machine mobile cinema - Scotland's unique cinema which tours to 40+ remote and rural locations in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. To do this, we have a leased cinema, known as the Cinemobile - thus securing the service until April 2026. We are currently campaigning to raise the funds to commission the build of a new Screen Machine, which will secure the service well into the 2030s. Regional Screen Scotland is funded by Creative Scotland/Screen Scotland, through donations from trusts and foundations, and via ticket income. It is run by a dedicated team: some office/home based, others out on the road and a team of ushers in each location that the cinema visits.
