About Registered Massage Therapists' Association of British Columbia
The Registered Massage Therapists' Association of BC (RMTBC) is the professional body for the RMTs of British Columbia. The majority of BC's massage therapists belong to the Registered Massage Therapists' Association of British Columbia (RMTBC). With a strong membership, the association negotiates with the Medical Services Plan, the Insurance Corporation of BC, the Workers' Compensation Board, the BC Government and private insurers. The RMTBC also gathers evidence on the uses of massage therapy through research projects and the ongoing collection of massage therapy research articles. Other services include our web site, toll-free line and marketing materials. The RMTBC acts as the voice of massage therapy in the province. Through media relations, advertising, publications, the web site and other activities, the RMTBC reaches out to the public, health care professionals, politicians and other stakeholders with its message that massage therapy is a vital part of health care in BC.
