About Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company
The Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company is looking for YOU! We are a diverse group of individuals made up of construction workers, lawyers, nurses, business professionals, and career firefighters. We are looking for motivated and community minded citizens who enjoy a sense of pride in volunteering and want to give back to their community. Our motto is NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS. We have many roles to fill, from Junior Members at 15-18 years of age, to Active Firefighters from 18 years of age on up, to Associate Members who can help with fund raising and non-emergency activities and lastly our Auxiliary who have been supporters of this fire company for many years. A number of individuals who have volunteered for fire companies have started their own careers, parlaying the skills learned in organizations like ours into other public saftey fields, including but not limited to Career Firefighters, Career EMTs, Paramedics, Police Officers, and other branches of Law Enforcement, Emergency 911 Dispatchers, Fire Marshalls, Fire School Instructors, Fire Science Teachers, Public Safety Educators, serving in our Military, and many more. The Benefits of membership include, State Pension Benefit, State Income Tax Credit, Workmans Compensation, Life Insurance, Blood Bank Membership, Yearly Awards Banquet, Free Surf Fishing Licenses for Active Members, Line of Duty Death Benefit, Scholarships, Free Training, and Equipment and Gear. We work together as a team to deliver emergency fire, rescue, and EMS services to people who are dearly in need. Firefighters are unique individuals who enjoy a brother and sister hood relationship.
