About Reiach and Hall Architects
We are an Edinburgh based studio of architects and designers, working both locally and internationally with both private and public sector clients. We have extensive experience in the design of Universities and Schools, Research Institutes and Sporting Centres of Excellence, Art Galleries and Workplaces, Hospitals and Homes. Our work ranges in scale from a civic masterplan to a small bothy in the Scottish Borders. We bring our collective expertise and enthusiasm to bear on a diverse range of projects regardless of scale and typology. Our approach is sensitive to location and culture, often combining the latest advances in building technology with techniques drawn from local traditions. We aim to garner the skills, enthusiasm and knowledge of our clients, design teams, and communities in the creation of inspirational environments. We design buildings and spaces that place a premium on simplicity and elegance. We deliver functional, long-lasting buildings that retain their value through being easy to use and a pleasure to occupy. We have in-house Passivhaus Designers who are delivering significant pathfinder projects achieving Low Carbon and Net Zero outcomes. By working constructively together from the start of a project, our architects and the wider project team create appropriate, integrated, and sustainable design solutions. From appointment to completion, the teams are supported by numerous in-house disciplines, including Contract Administration, Building Information Modelling, Interior Design, Graphics and Project Management. We instigate regular and rigorous Design, Construction and Sustainability review panels throughout the design process. To ensure consistency and personal service, the core team sees a project through from beginning to end. Led by the directors and an experienced senior team, the work of our dedicated, vibrant, and creative studio has been recognised with over a 100 major design awards.
