About ReliBond

ReliBond is a Danish startup company founded in 2015. The core technology is developed during research carried out at the Technical University of Denmark. We have been a part of the Danish Tech Challenge HW accelerator program in 2015, awarded the best student start-up 2016 at DTU. ReliBond has developed a disruptive technology offered to the high voltage power cable industry. Our technology removes a 2 day manual cable handling approach, and converts it to a 2 hour automated process. ReliBond solution offers utilization of low loss conductors up to 40% more efficient than current conventional cable systems. The global electricity demand is rapidly increasing and fluctuating sustainable electricity sources are putting pressure on the transmission network. Number of cable projects with increasing power transmission demands are the future scenario. Low loss conductors for AC systems up to 40% more efficient than current conventional cable systems would be able to meet the demand, and the technology is available today. However, handling at testing, production and installation is very time consuming and needs to be reduced to enable utilization of the promising low loss conductor technology. ReliBond offers a solution that reduces the handling time drastically, increases testing and joining quality and minimizes overall risk.
