About Renaissance Academy

Renaissance Academy is a 501c3 non-profit K-9 public charter school located in Lehi, Utah, that is committed to building bridges through a unique pedagogy of global languages and experiential and service learning. Founded in 1996, Renaissance Academy embraces a "beyond our borders" perspective, designed to encourage young scholars to venture beyond personal expectations of themselves, finding a greater capacity for learning and contribution of their talents within their immediate and future spheres of influence. The optimistic spirit of the Renaissance and Information Age of today come together here to encourage a "rebirth" of curiosity and exploration, especially in World Language, the Arts and Sciences. Essential components of our methodology include: - Balance between the traditional and innovative - Alignment with the Utah State Core curriculum objectives - Sequenced and thematic efforts between subjects and grade levels - Individualized approach to each student's engagement We believe the Renaissance child relies on the collaborative relationship of parents, teachers and students. We provide an embracing environment by welcoming and celebrating the rich diversity of students from differing cultural, social, economic, religious and academic backgrounds. Wonder Days are a weekly culminating event of hands-on cross-curricular activities and field trips where each student is provided the opportunity to fulfill our motto Experience Education.
