Adult Daycare is Beneficial for Caregivers and Their Loved Ones Caregivers often neglect their own health, leading to a higher risk of death before those they are caring for. Adult daycare provides up to 8 hours of time, per day, for caregivers to take care of themselves, including attending doctor appointments and running errands. According to the Alzheimer's Association, (ALZ.org), 13.1% of people aged 75 to 84 and 33.3% of people aged 85 or older have Alzheimer’s/ dementia. An estimated 7 million people live with this disease. Adult daycare provides the structure and flexibility to adapt to serve each client’s specific needs.
